The Art of Effective Communication and Presentation Seminar

Are you not getting leads from your website or from your speculative letters and emails? Whilst your creative work might be strong, if you’re not presenting yourself well in the written form, you’re likely to fall at the first hurdle. For many artists and makers, getting your CV and Artists Statement right can be real challenge. Likewise many struggle with making formal applications, attending interviews and having the confidence to talk clearly and confidently about their practice to a variety of audiences.

Poetry Discs
The seven hand-engraved Poetry Discs are set into the waterfall which forms one of the main landscaping features of Picadilly Place. They act as a canvas to display the winning Poem for Manchester, written by Mike Duff. The artwork's interactive mirroring quality is created with Dichroic glass and offers intimacy, drawing people in.
Ice Cube
Here the artists have created an eight-metre square structure clad in glass. Nicknamed the “Ice Cube” a hand drawn, abstract image has been screen printed onto each of the white glass panels. The “Ice Cube” is a living, changeable piece of art. It responds to its immediate environment, such as sun, the clouds and the position of the viewer.
